Saskatoon police have charged a 13-year-old boy and 18-year-old man in connection with an armed robbery Saturday morning at a Mac’s Convenience store.
According to police, three people with bandanas covering their faces went into the store on 3rd Avenue North around 1:30 a.m.
One suspect is believed to have had a butcher knife.
Two people working at the time locked themselves in a storage room to stay safe.
The suspects took the cash register and left the store.
Soon after patrol officers arrested two of the suspects and the register was found about three blocks from the store.
The 18 -year-old man is charged with robbery, breach of recognizance and several outstanding warrants.
Police have charged the 13-year-old boy with robbery.
Investigators are still trying to identify the third suspect.
