Saskatoon police say an officer used a taser during the arrest of a pair of men charged with assault.
Police got a report around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday of two people being attacked in a home on the 400 block of Avenue C South.
Officers arriving at the scene spotted a pair of suspects nearby. One of the suspects, a 39-year-old man, was arrested without incident.
Police said the second man, 35, tried to fight the arresting officers, leading one of them to use a taser to subdue him.
Paramedics checked the man at the scene before he was taken to police cells.
Two other men, 55 and 47, were found at the home suffering from what police called non-life threatening injuries.
Officers recovered a baseball bat at the scene which they believe was used by the suspects.
Both the 35-year-old and 39-year-old suspect face charges of assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
The 35-year-old faces additional charges of assaulting a police officer and breaching an undertaking.
Saskatoon police policy is to review all incidents where officers use a taser.
