A huge swing in temperatures and swirling snow flurries are making for a rough day on Saskatoon roads.
City officials are warning drivers to slow down and take extra precaution after a rash of collisions were reported on Wednesday.
A 16-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after his vehicle collided with a tree around 10:30 a.m. on Berini Drive. His injuries have since been downgraded to stable condition.
Half an hour later, a city bus collided with a guard rail near the Circle Drive North Bridge. Three of the 25 passengers on the bus were taken to hospital for minor injuries.
Shortly after that, a vehicle struck a light standard as it was exiting Circle Drive East onto Preston Avenue North.
A blowing snow advisory is in effect for Saskatoon and area. The advisory comes after temperatures reached a high of 2 C on Tuesday. A low of -24 C is expected for Wednesday night.
