At least one person in Saskatoon won’t be feeling the pinch after the holiday season.
The Saskatchewan Rush announced Tuesday that Evelyna Brant took home the 50/50 jackpot of $71, 815 from the team’s home opener on Dec. 23, 2017.
“I’m speechless, very excited. Honestly don’t even know what to say,” Brant said in a news release.
The other half of the more than $143,000 total jackpot was split between the Saskatchewan Lacrosse Association, the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre and the Children’s Discovery Museum.
The winning ticket number was B1-069006.
In the past two years, more than $1.2 million has been raised for the Saskatchewan Lacrosse Association through the Rush 50/50 program, proudly presented by Dakota Dunes Casino.
“The funds raised from the Rush 50/50 games are helping out the SLA with all the new players,” association president Shawn Williams said in a news release.
