Saskatoon police warn of counterfeit $50 bills

If you use cash often, watch out for fake fifties padding your wallet.
Saskatoon police sent out a warning Friday about counterfeit $50 bills.
Since Dec. 28, police have received three reports of the fake bills being used at three different businesses.
People can spot the phony money using these tricks:
-The metallic images on the transparent strip is that of a $5 bill.
-The transparent strip is slightly raised off the counterfeit $50 bill.
-There is no transparent outline of the frosted maple leaf.
