Two guns, two bats, a flail with a chain attached and a cattle prod are just a few of the items found in a vehicle by Saskatoon police Christmas Day.
Police stopped a 37-year-old man and 26-year-old woman around 1:15 a.m. in Diefenbaker Park. The man provided a false name for police and was arrested for obstruction.
Police learned the man had warrants for his arrest for breaching probation and during a search, a shotgun round was found in his possession.
A search of the vehicle uncovered several weapons which included a sawed-off shotgun and sawed-off rifle, two bats, one expandable baton, bear spray, a flail with chain attached, a cattle prod and two homemade pipes which were wrapped with black electrical tape.
Both the man and woman are facing weapons and firearms charges.
Both will appear in front of a Judge Monday evening.
