Murray Wood says big sporting events sometimes present an issue for viewers who kind of want both teams to lose.
The Christmas weekend got better for someone in Saskatoon Saturday night, a Lotto 649 ticket sold in the bridge city won a guaranteed $1 million prize.
It’s still not clear who won the prize, Western Canada Lottery Corporation reports the winning number is 36699772-01.
There were four other guaranteed million dollar prizes—won in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.
The $17 million jackpot in Saturday night’s Lotto 649 draw went to a ticket holder in Ontario.
The jackpot for the next Lotto 649 draw on Dec. 27 will be approximately $5 million.
