Dashing through the malls: last-minute Christmas shopping

Malls and stores across Saskatchewan are getting hectic this week as people try to finish off their Christmas shopping lists.

For some, the list can be simple.

“Gift cards, that seems to be the thing to do, you know,” one shopper told 650 CKOM reporter Chris Vandenbreekel at the Midtown Plaza Shopping Centre in Saskatoon.

“Oh darn, there’s one more I’ve got to get,” one man admitted as he went dashing back into the mall.

While many shoppers are running to get those last minute gifts, others won’t have to brave the masses.

“Oh yeah I’m done,” said Jenni. “I’ve been done for a month now.”

She was pretty secretive about what was on that list she finished early.

While this week before Christmas may seem like last-minute shopping to some, there are always others who might leave it to the very last day this weekend.
