A crash Saturday morning sent one man to hospital with serious injuries.
Saskatoon fire crews were called to Circle Drive and 11th Street West at 5:45 a.m. after a minivan slammed into a sign pole and the driver became trapped inside.
The man was stabilized by emergency crews at the scene before hydraulic rescue tools were used to remove the van door and cut through the vehicles post.
At that point, the man was able to be taken out of the van safely and transported to hospital.
He was the only person inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.
There’s no word what may have caused the van to hit the pole.
