One man is dead after a serious crash on Highway 5 east of Saskatoon.
RCMP said a car collided with a gravel truck near the Highway 316 turnoff just before 8 a.m., sending both vehicles into a nearby field.
The driver of the car, a 28-year-old Saskatoon man, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. RCMP later confirmed the man had died.
Police said initial investigation showed the car lost control while going westbound, colliding with the eastbound truck.
While some traffic restrictions were in place through the morning, police had cleared the scene as of 11 a.m.
