Many people were in tears Sunday night as they reconnected with loved ones from on the other side at SaskTel Centre.
Theresa Caputo, star of TLC’s Long Island Medium, performed in Saskatoon. She claims she can communicate with the dead.
Many in attendance were believers and fans of Caputo’s show.
Sisters Kim Lucas-Wells and Gail Halliday said they drove in from Prince Albert because they love Caputo’s show.
“There’s something else out there,” Lucas-Wells said.
Other people said they came to the show because they too sense the presence of spirits, while some were a little on edge.
“It’s creepy for sure, I definitely don’t want to talk to any dead people,” Jonathon Kraft said.
“I just think it’s nice to know there is something more to life and after life. To be with your loved ones forever,” Michelle Boisson said.
Caputo talked to only a handful of people during her show, but made sure to crack a few jokes to lighten the mood.
Willa Burton said connecting with spirits is not confined just to Halloween.
“It’s kind of magical all year round,” Burton said. “Some people may think of it more at Halloween time because it is like spirits and ghosts and all that, but I think for most believers there’s no specific time.”
