Saskatoon police involved in three chases Friday night and Saturday morning—all of them called off.
According to police, the first happened around 8:20 p.m. Friday when an officer spotted a vehicle with a stolen license plate at 20th Street and Avenue P.
The officer followed the vehicle southbound on Avenue P until it got to 11th Street while waiting for back-up.
When the lights and sirens went on the driver turned on Avenue H and police called off the chase over concerns the suspects driving was a public safety risk.
A few hours later, at 1:11 a.m. Saturday, a vehicle ran a red light in front of a marked police cruiser at 22nd Street and Dalmeny Road.
The officer tried to pull over the vehicle, but it was going too last and left city limits.
Lastly, at 2:03 a.m. at Lorne Avenue and Melville Street an officers saw a suspicious vehicle and tried to stop it.
The vehicle sped west on Ruth Street.
That chase was called off over safety concerns.
