Saskatoon police have identified a person of interest in threats made to a local elementary school Thursday.
King George Community School, located at 721 Avenue K South, was put into a perimeter lockdown shortly after administration told police about a threat at 8:30 a.m.
The threat was received in the form of a voicemail.
The nature of the threat is not being released, nor is the name of the person of interest in the case.
Four other neighbouring schools were also placed under perimeter lockdowns as a precaution. The security measures were lifted by the end of the school day.
No one was injured in the incident. Police said there was no further threat to the public.
School resource officers are investigating.
