A line of plastic plates and bowls made for kids is being recalled due to a choking hazard.
The Playtex brand plates and bowls were manufactured with colorful graphics such as giraffes, superheroes and princesses.
The Canadian distributor of the products has informed Health Canada that the decals on the tableware can bubble or peel off, causing a choking hazard.
The company, Edgewell Personal Care Canada ULC , has reported four instances where children have choked. None of those incidents resulted in serious injuries.
About 1.9 million of the affected products were sold in Canada between January 2010 and August 2017. The items were sold separately and in sets including cutlery.
A Health Canada recall notice issued Tuesday stated that people who own affected products can return them to Edgewell for a full refund. The company can be reached by phone at 1-888-220-2075 or through its website.
