Martensville RCMP are laying several charges against a man accused in a violent break-and-enter early Saturday morning.
Police said they responded to a call at a home in Martensville just before 4 a.m. on Sept. 30, where an investigation revealed a man had entered earlier.
The suspect allegedly got into an altercation with the home owner, leaving him with serious but non-life threatening injuries, before fleeing on foot.
A woman inside the home and two other adults outside weren’t injured in the incident.
Darian Cote, 20, faces one count each of break-and-enter, aggravated assault, disguise with intent (to commit a crime), mischief under $5,000 and failing to comply with an undertaking.
He made an initial appearance in Saskatoon provincial court Tuesday, with another hearing set for Thursday.
