Regina Rams season ends with Mitchell Bowl loss to Laval

The Gormley Gathering reached a major mark in the effort to raise money to fight prostate cancer and other urological diseases.
The 2017 edition of the annual fundraiser collected $177,827 for the Leslie and Irene Dubé Urology Centre of Health.
That brought the total money raised over the event’s seven years to over $1 million.
“We are blessed with a multitude of donors who are passionate about improving care for patients living with urological illnesses,” St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation board chair Chris Boychuk said in a media release.
“We would also like to acknowledge John Gormley and all the staff at Rawlco Radio, who work so hard each year to host this event,” Boychuk added.
In addition to ticket sales and donations, several major gifts were given during the event, including $25,000 from Gordon and Jill Rawlinson.
Funds raised at this year’s event at the Persephone Theatre will help with the purchase of cutting-edge equipment, as well as patient education and programming at the urology centre in St. Paul’s Hospital.
