A long line of people eagerly waited on a cool Saturday morning for the chance to audition for the reality show Big Brother Canada in downtown Saskatoon.
The show heads into its sixth season this fall. So far, only one person from Saskatchewan has ever taken part.
22-year-old Jordi Finlayson was and friend Alyson Anderson is hoping to change that. Finlayson says it would be a dream come true to get on the show.
“I have been a fan since I was probably ten years old. So, it’s been a dream, it’s been added to the bucket list as soon as I was of age,” Finlayson said.
Both are longtime fans of the show and said they had no game plan for their audition.
“I don’t like to over think things. So, we’re just going to go in there and be myself, that’s the plan.”
Another hopeful candidate was 25-year-old mechanical engineer Tanner Armstrong from Saskatoon.
“I’m looking forward to going on the show because I like the competition and I think I will really add some character,” he said.
The show consists of participants being under video and audio surveillance for the full 75 days.
“Once I’m on there it won’t be an issue. I just need to get out there and I’ll get comfortable with the cameras the more I am there.”
Filming is tentatively scheduled to start in March of 2018.
