Saskatoon police are looking for a suspect who allegedly pulled a gun on someone over a pack of cigarettes.
Police were called to an alley on the 1100 block of Avenue W North just after 10 p.m. Wednesday.
They arrived to find a 20-year-old man who said he was approached by another man who asked him for a cigarette. He told police that he took out his cigarettes to give one to the suspect, who then pulled out a sawed-off shotgun and demanded the whole package.
The suspect reportedly took off on foot after the man handed over the cigarettes.
Police described the suspect as an Indigenous man between 20 and 25, standing between six feet and six feet two inches tall with a medium build and a buzz cut hairstyle. The suspect was reportedly wearing grey sweat pants and a black sweater with the letters DGK written in gold across the front.
