A Saskatoon man did not back down when he came face-to-face with an intruder at his Briarwood home early Thursday.
Just after 5 a.m. police were called to a break and enter in progress at the east side neighbourhood.
Police said the homeowner confronted the suspect and was injured by the suspect’s vehicle as it tried to flee the scene.
Police identified the suspect and arrested him at a home in the 900 block of Werschner Crescent Thursday afternoon.
The 34-year-old is charged with break and enter, assault with a weapon and breach of a court order.
During a search of the home, officers recovered the stolen property. In addition, two other men, 28 and 41 years of age, were also arrested and charged with stolen property and possession of crystal meth.
The homeowner was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The three accused will appear Friday before a Justice of the Peace.
