Your last days to enjoy outdoor swimming pools will also be among the hottest of the summer.
Outdoor facilities in Saskatoon are set to close Wednesday and Thursday, when Environment Canada is calling for highs above 30 C.
Meanwhile, families in Regina can plan a trip to the pool over the Labour Day long weekend, with most facilities staying open until Monday.
Here’s where you can take your last dips of summer:
Saskatoon outdoor pools
Riversdale Pool will be open from 1-8 p.m. through Wednesday, when it’s expected to reach 31 C in Saskatoon.
Wednesday will also be the last chance for people to jump into Mayfair Pool.
Mayfair will once again host the city’s annual Dog Day of Summer Thursday, where people can bring their dogs to enjoy the pool. There will be no public swimming hours this day.
The event requires pre-registration, which closed last Friday.
George Ward Pool will close after swimming hours from 1-8 p.m. on Thursday, when the mercury is set to spike to 32 C.
Lathey Pool was closed for the season earlier this month, when storm flooding damaged mechanical equipment underneath the pool.
All of Saskatoon’s free paddling pools closed for the summer as of Aug. 25.
Saskatoon spray pads
Families can still have fun cooling off at all 17 of Saskatoon’s spray pads, which remain open over the Labour Day weekend.
The spray pads run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily through Sept. 4.
Regina outdoor pools
There will be plenty of chances to cool down with a swim in Regina this long weekend.
Environment Canada is calling for a high of 30 C Saturday, 23 C Sunday and 22 C on Labour Day Monday.
Three of the city’s five outdoor pools will remain open noon to 5 p.m. through to Monday: Dewdney, Maple Leaf and Massey.
Wascana is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. those days. From Sept. 5-24, the pool will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Regent Outdoor Pool closes Sunday at 8 p.m., as it hosts the city’s public Dog Swim Monday.
Admission to Dewdney and Maple Leaf pools is free during all operating hours, while the entry fee is waived at Wascana, Massey and Regent pools hour for the last hour between 7-8 p.m.
Regina spray pads
All but one of Regina’s spray pads will stay open until Sept. 17, and will run daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Maple Ridge Spray Pad was closed for the 2017 season due to construction.
