An early morning fire in the King George neighbourhood has gutted a two-storey home with extensive damage.
Saskatoon Fire said they received multiple 9-1-1 calls from residents about the Avenue K South home around 1:46 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Twenty firefighters responded to the blaze with three pump trucks, attacking the blaze from the backyard and protecting the neighbouring home on the north side.
Crews attempted to enter the home around 2:34 a.m., but had to back off due to the damage and flames.
The fire was brought under control by 3:42 a.m.
Saskatoon Fire said the two tenants of the house weren’t home at the time, and no-one was found inside.
There is no damage estimate from the fire department.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
