Two people have been charged after Saskatoon police recovered thousands of dollars worth of stolen sports equipment.
Police said officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 200 block of Imperial Street on Thursday.
When they arrived, the officers reportedly spotted what appeared to be a large amount of new sporting equipment in the back of a Dodge Ram truck.
The items were found to be stolen from a break and enter to a hockey arena on Grasswood Road. Additional items connected to other business break-ins were also found.
The investigation into stolen property is ongoing.
On Monday, police said a 30-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, both from Saskatoon, are facing charges in relation to this investigation.
Both are charged with possessing stolen property more than $5,000.
The man accused was found to have two outstanding warrants. He’s also facing a charge of breaching a court order.
