Rams prepare for Mitchell Cup showdown against Laval
Nov 15, 2024
The Rams play the Laval Rouge et Or in the Mitchell Bowl Saturday for a spot in the 2024 Vanier Cup.
While the person who shot and killed Tyler Applegate is still at-large, Saskatoon police have found the vehicle believed to be connected to the city’s third homicide of 2017.
Applegate, 27, was shot at his 33rd Street home on July 22 and died in hospital on Aug. 10 from his injuries.
At the time, police said a black Nissan Titan truck had left the back alley behind the home shortly after the incident. They said three men were inside.
A patrol officer found the truck and seized it with no-one inside. Forensic teams have processed it for evidence.
Police said the truck was stolen out of Prince Albert.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call police at 306-975-8300, or to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
