A GoFundMe page hopes to raise $50,000 to help Robert Carignan, the 57-year-old man injured in a random beating in Saskatoon.
Back on July 23 Carignan was pushed out of his motorized scooter while taking his dog out for a walk near Spadina Crescent and 23rd Street and was beaten.
The attack left him with a broken jaw, fractured skull and bruises over most of his body.
Carignan had surgery to repair the damage and according to the GoFundMe page, has a long road of recovery ahead and it’s not clear how independent he can be.
Justin James Crowe, 25, was arrested shortly after the attack and charged with attempted murder and uttering threats.
