Saskatchewan is getting another opportunity to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.
CP’s Canada 150 train rolls through Saskatoon Tuesday evening, stopping at William A. Reid Park, located at the south end of Fairmont Drive in the city’s west end.
It will also stop at the Mosaic Stadium parking lot in Regina Wednesday.
Both events are set to go from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., featuring country star Dean Brody and world champion hoop dancer Dallas Arcand on the special stage car of the train.
Children will also be invited to attach stickers to the “Spirit of Tomorrow” car, writing down what they hope for Canada’s future.
Other family activities include a CP history gallery, kids crafts and a photo station.
Saskatoon police are advising drivers to take care when traveling near William A. Reid Park Tuesday evening, given an expected increase in vehicle and foot traffic.
