Saskatoon Crime Stoppers is tasking the internet with what they’re calling the “greatest Where’s Waldo” challenge ever.
The organization is asking for help finding a woman who appeared in a video sent to local media outlets, where she confessed to being involved with the white powder scares across Saskatoon.
The woman is believed to sell video testimonial services on the website fiverr.com, or another site similar to it.
“It’s a hunch, that’s why it’s a ‘Where’s Waldo’ hunt,” said Cst. Ryan Ehalt, Saskatoon Crime Stoppers co-ordinator.
Ehalt said the mystery woman isn’t considered a suspect and isn’t in any trouble with police.
He said the “working theory” is the woman currently charged as the mastermind behind the white powder scares, Alexa Emerson, paid the woman to create the video.
Investigators, however, are unsure as to where the woman lives.
“There was information on Alexa Emerson’s Facebook and social media profiles that she had spent some time in Hollywood,” Ehalt said.
“So it was a working theory that she could have hired somebody there.”
Crime Stoppers is asking for someone to locate the woman’s profile and alert them.
No reward is being offered for information since the woman isn’t facing criminal charges.
Anyone with leads on the mystery woman is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
