Saskatoon food trucks are vying for votes this weekend.
Thirteen teams will compete against each other for the Food Truck Wars Flavor championship title at Sutherland Curling Club.
People braved the rain Saturday to get their orders from the trucks and then head inside the club to enjoy live entertainment.
John Naylor and his son Michael came out because they were craving waffles, and got their fix at Alpha Dog waffle food truck.
“Mine is very waffley, very creamy and very sour cherry,” Naylor described.
The competition runs through Sunday, when a panel of judges will decide the winner.
Organizer Rick Mach said in honour of Father`s Day, they will be having a draw Sunday for two dads to sit as judges on the food tasting panel.
Saturday evening entertainment includes a break dancing competition featuring dancers from Toronto, Winnipeg, Edmonton and Vancouver.
It costs $5 to enter the venue, with children 12 and under free.
A second food truck competition will also be held at the Sutherland Curling Club June 23-25.
