Warman RCMP are asking for the public’s help in figuring out what happened to a 12-year-old boy Tuesday night.
A release Thursday said the boy was found wandering a range road just northwest of Warman around 9:15 p.m. on May 23.
Police officers picked him up and took him to hospital as a precaution, and he was released shortly after.
RCMP said the same boy was reported missing from the Prairie Oasis playground at Rigmor Street and 3rd Avenue shortly after they found him on the road.
Investigators are looking into whether the incident was a possible abduction.
Police are looking to speak with the occupants of two pick-up trucks, one red and one white, which were spotted on Range Road 3051 around the time of the incident, to see if they witnessed anything.
Anyone who noticed suspicious activity near the clean-fill disposal site on the same road, or at the Prairie Oasis playground, is asked to call the Warman detachment at 306-975-1670.
Police are also reminding parents to educate their children on safety precautions, specifically not speaking to strangers or approaching strange vehicles.
Children are being told to only listen to one headphone/earbud and to promptly report suspicious activity to an adult.
