Two people are facing charges after a Saskatoon police officer stopped to check out a vehicle in a city parking lot.
Saskatoon police said the officer decided to investigate after seeing a black Ford Focus parked in a lot near Idylwyld Drive and 36th Street around 10 p.m. Monday.
The Focus was sporting a licence plate that had been reported stolen in Humboldt, east of Saskatoon.
The vehicle itself was later found to have been reported stolen in Prince Albert.
The officer arrested a 27-year-old Humboldt man and a 20-year-old Saskatoon woman who were found in the car.
A search of the vehicle reportedly turned up a loaded shotgun and a knife. The man was allegedly found in possession of crystal meth.
Both are facing weapons charges, along with counts relating to the stolen vehicle and licence plate.
