A 34-year-old old man has died after a collision on Circle Drive.
Emergency crews were dispatched to Circle Drive East near Attridge Drive during rush hour Wednesday.
They found a heavily damaged blue hatchback that had been involved in a head-on crash with a semi truck.
Firefighters were able to get the driver out and he was rushed to hospital. Police reported that he died of his injuries early Thursday morning.
The driver of the semi truck was unhurt.
Investigators were working at the scene of the collision through Wednesday night, wrapping up around 1 a.m. Thursday.
Police said initial investigation shows the car crossed over the median ditch from the southbound lanes, colliding with the northbound semi truck.
Speed and alcohol aren’t believed to be factors, but no further cause has been determined.
Police asked anyone who might have dashcam footage of the incident to contact them.
