He’s supposed to nab drunk drivers, but a Saskatchewan RCMP officer is now accused of being impaired behind the wheel just days ago.
Police responded to the complaint of an erratic driver early Sunday morning in Canora, located about 50 kilometres north of Yorkton.
The call led to charges against an off-duty member of the Kamsack RCMP detachment.
Sgt. Terence Wilson has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and impaired operation over .08.
Police said Wilson has been serving with the RCMP for 20 years. He’s currently suspended with pay.
His next court appearance is scheduled for March 2.
