A bail hearing is set for the man accused of killing Daphne Schmidt in an alleged drunk driving crash on the weekend.
Wade Ganje, 34, from Weyburn, faces a number of charges including impaired driving causing death in connection to the crash near Southey on Jan. 21.
Schmidt, from the town of Cupar, was killed and three others were injured when the car they were in was hit by another vehicle.
Ganje will argue for his release from custody on Jan. 31. Electronic monitoring is being considered as a potential condition.
Families for both Ganje and Schmidt were in court Wednesday.
Southey is located around 55 kilometres north of Regina.
