Saskatoon Police have charged a 20-year-old man with public mischief after a disturbance on a school bus full of special needs adults.
Around 4:30 p.m. Monday police were called to 37th Street West near Hunt Road after a man harassed the bus driver, then climbed on top of the bus’ roof.
Officers attempted to talk the man down, but said he continued to scream while pacing the length of the bus.
During this time a second bus was brought in and the passengers were transferred safely.
After about 20 minutes of talks officers were able to get the man down and arrested him.
According to police the man appeared to be under the influence of drugs and was checked by a paramedic before being held in the SPS Dentention Centre.
