Two men already charged in a case of mail theft are now facing more charges.
Regina police have continued their investigation into several break and enters at apartment building mailboxes in the city. As a result, James Donald Provost, 40, from Edmonton, Alberta, and Brad Waselenchuk, 37, from Regina, are now facing 47 additional charges including break and enter, possession of stolen mail, and identity fraud.
On Oct. 15, Regina police were called to an apartment building on the 2700 block of College Avenue, a few blocks west of Albert Street, for a report of a break in. Officers learned two men had broken into the mailboxes of the tenants of the building.
The suspects were arrested on Oct. 19 outside a hotel on the 1700 block of Victoria Avenue. They were allegedly in possession of stolen mail along with drugs, and were later charged.
