What an NCAA rule change might mean for junior hockey in Sask.

Previously, WHL players were declared ineligible to play NCAA hockey in the U.S.
Those wanting to provide their thoughts on which direction Saskatchewan should take now have the chance through a new online consultation initiative.
A group of civil society organizations and individuals have launched SaskForward in response to the transformational change promised by the provincial government.
In a news release, SaskForward spokesperson Simon Enoch said “the government is promising sweeping changes to public programs and services and a fundamental re-structuring of how the government operates, yet it has done very little to consult the people of the province.”
Enoch added the changes will impact all residents of the province and they feel people deserve a say in the future of Saskatchewan.
The public is encouraged to share their ideas on the direction of the province through video and text messages at saskforward.ca
Enoch said “we’re asking people across the province to answer the question, ‘What transformational change would you introduce to make Saskatchewan a happier, healthier, and more prosperous place for all?”
Submissions will be compiled into a final report that will be share with the Premier and made public in early 2017.
