A winter storm warning is in effect for the southeast region of Saskatchewan – and that means hazardous road conditions.
Fillmore RCMP said officers responded to four separate vehicles that hit the ditch. It said two incidents resulted in a minor collision on Highway 47 near the junction of Highway 705.
No injuries were reported and the highway was not blocked.
This is all part of a winter system that’s bring heavy snowfall to southeast Saskatchewan.
Environment Canada said at 9:30 a.m, a heavy band of snow stalled over that part of the province, with heaviest snowfall around Rockglen and Broadview, Sask. The system will bring 10 to 25 cm of snow by Monday evening. Heavy snowfall should be done by Tuesday morning.
If heavy snowfall wasn’t enough, colder air is on the way, bringing wind gusts and blowing snow.
