A struggle between a man and a woman at a hotel in downtown Regina early Friday led to charges for the man.
At around 1:51 a.m., Regina police were dispatched to the Quality Inn on the 1700 block of Victoria Avenue for a report of an unwanted guest.
Police said the caller reported a man at the front desk was acting aggressively towards employees, before forcing his way into a back room.
When officers arrived, the lobby was empty, but they said officers would hear faint noise coming from a locked office.
Police said officers could see a struggle between a man and woman through a vent.
Officers got into the office, where they arrested the man.
EMS treated a 27-year-old woman before injuries.
Police charged 27-year-old Jonathan Henry James Southwind, of no fixed address, with forcible confinement, overcoming resistance by attempting to choke and three charges of breach of recognizance.
Southwind is scheduled to appear in court in Regina Friday afternoon.
