Previously, WHL players were declared ineligible to play NCAA hockey in the U.S.
With winter appearing to settle into the Province, Regina residents will want to try to remember the November that was.
This past November set temperature records in places like Estevan, Prince Albert, Moose Jaw and in the Queen City.
David Phillips, senior climatologist with Environment Canada, said the month smashed the previous record in the city which was set in 1899.
“I think there’s a bit of sadness to see November end,” Phillips said on the 980 CJME Morning Show.
Phillips said a high pressure area sitting over the central part of the continent was the reason for the warm weather. He also said there were over 300 records broken around the middle of the month in various places around the country.
But the warm weather won’t be staying.
“We know we never cancel winter in this country,” Phillips said. He added northern air will be making its way into the province and will bring colder temperatures with it.
