The 104th Grey Cup could look a lot like the 101st, when three years ago Saskatchewan smashed the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to the tune of 45-23.
The Calgary Stampeders are the heavy favourites, being favoured by nine and a half points and that could be very generous for the underdog Ottawa Redblacks.
On media day Thursday, the Ottawa team came in much quieter than last year a lot more poised and steady than the smiling bunch that admit they were just happy to be there in 2015.
My thought swung to them actually winning.
Then it was the Calgary Stampeders turn and immediately it became clear they want to play and they want to play now.
The Stamps were talking big, while their head coach Dave Dickenson was being his calm, cool, collected self. The moniker cocky has hung on this Stampeder team for a long time, but it didn’t feel cocky. This was confidence. This was a team that is still on a mission to be one of the best ever to win it all.
This is why I’ve picked the Stamps over the Redblacks by 10 or more.
