It’s no bull, Agribition’s newest event this year is bound to leave a few bruises.
Running with the Bulls happens Saturday inside the Brandt Centre. Upwards of 75 competitors— or daredevils— will try and withstand and avoid three waves of three bulls each.
One of those contestants is Steven Tucker.
“I’ve always been kind of a shy, timid person. Why not do something crazy for once?” he told the CJME Morning Show.
It’s his body on the line, but he’s doing it for his heart.
“If I win, the money is going to go towards our wedding on Dec. 10,” he revealed.
Tucker said his wife-to-be is a little worried, joking that if he does get hurt she won’t be too happy.
The winner will get $1,500 in prize money, and will be determined by the crowd based on who does the best job staying on the rodeo dirt, along with the entertainment value of it all. Those in the audience will use a text-based voting system to choose who they want to win.
Tucker’s strategy?
“Just try not to think about it and hopefully you don’t get hurt.”
The event begins at 3:30 Saturday afternoon.
