A BB gun incident caused some tense moments at a Saskatoon high school on Thursday afternoon.
Around 12:45 p.m. police and school resource officers attended to Tommy Douglas Collegiate for a reported assault on a student.
Police say a 13-year-old boy and 15-year-old boy allegedly assaulted a 15-year-old student, then shot him in the leg with a BB gun before fleeing.
The teens have been identified, but as of Friday morning had not been located. They were not students at the school.
Once in police custody, the suspects will each face assault and five weapon-related charges. It’s also expected the 13-year-old will be charged with breaching a court order.
A spokesperson for Saskatoon Public Schools said there were no plans to change existing security procedures at the school.
The student was not seriously hurt.
