If the odds makers are correct it will be a Battle of Alberta for the 104th Grey Cup in Toronto.
I’m not buying it.
The Calgary Stampeders are the easy pick out of the west, but this game is going to be a great one.
Both teams are a saw off in terms of many stats so the Lions aren’t a writeoff. Also a factor – the Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell hasn’t played in a game in 29 days. How much rest or rust will the star have?
Out east, the biggest intangible is how will the Eskimos look after playing Sunday, flying overnight and then turning around and going back out east for Sunday’s game.
Also, the statistics here, too, are very close between Ottawa and Edmonton.
I’m predicting both games are decided by a touchdown or less and likely in the final minute.
But it won’t be a Battle of Alberta.
I’m going with Ottawa and Calgary on Division Final weekend.
