The final weekend of training camp is set for Nov. 22-24 back in Saskatoon.
For the third straight year and nineteenth in total, the Saskatoon Hilltops are national junior football champions. The Hilltops beat the Westshore Rebels 37-25 to capture the 2016 Canadian Bowl.
Logan Fischer ran in the first touchdown of the game for the Hilltops, one of two on the day for the running back, who was named offensive player of the game.
Josh Ewanchyna also hit the end zone twice, including a full field kick-off return touchdown. Jason Price caught the other touchdown.
On the defensive side, Hilltops linebacker Cody Peters was named the defensive player of the game.
The victory makes it three straight Canadian Bowl wins after taking the 2014 and 2015 game.
