Regina has smashed warm weather records following an influx of warm Pacific air this week.
According to Environment Canada, Wednesday’s high peaked at 21.7 C, breaking the previous record of 18.9 C set in 1887.
Communities right across the province also set warm weather records. The hot spot was Maple Creek, at 23.9 C.
“Everyone of our reporting stations in Saskatchewan broke a record yesterday – right from the extreme northern parts of the province right to the south,” Environment Canada’s Mike McDonald said.
