The 2016 Rider season came to its merciful conclusion Saturday in another performance that made stomachs churn in Rider Nation.
Is the future bright for this team? We were thinking so after a four-game winning streak that, hey look, a competitive football team is on the horizon.
Now, we’re not too sure.
There are bigger pieces to the puzzle that are starting to fit, but when you look at the overall puzzle, there are still some gaps. The offensive line being the biggest, defensive line being #2, and what do they say: The game is won in the trenches.

Here is the truth: The grace period for Chris Jones is over. This was his season to rebuild as long as it was better than 3-15. Fans would give him a break. Mission barely accomplished.
Next season, the fans want to see a playoff team.
