Based on their latest performance, is there any reason to believe the Saskatchewan Roughriders will make any sort of impression in their finale?
The Riders finish their CFL season Saturday in Vancouver with a rematch against the B.C. Lions. Saskatchewan laid an egg in its 24-6 defeat Saturday, a demoralizing loss for a sold-out crowd attending the last Riders game at Mosaic Stadium.
While the Riders couldn’t catch Lions second-year quarterback Jonathon Jennings, B.C.’s defence sacked Saskatchewan’s quarterbacks seven times. The offensive line was horrible, but it wasn’t as bad as the QB rotation that saw Darian Durant inexplicably being spelled for a few plays at a time by Jake Waters.
Bad coaching. Bad playing. The result: The Riders have absolutely no rhythm and no confidence as they head into one final, meaningless game.
