A 19-year-old Regina man has been charged after a firearm was shot in a parking lot on Saturday.
Around 3:27 a.m. police were called to the 1000 block Pasqua Street where they found the suspect but didn’t find the firearm. However, multiple witnesses said the suspect pointed a firearm at a fleeing victim and then shot it as the victim drove away.
No one was injured.
Nineteen-year-old Alexander Jaccob Belanger was charged with assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm, careless use of a firearm and possession of a firearm contrary to his prohibition order.
He appeared in provincial court on Oct. 31.
