Saskatchewan residents now have the opportunity to fly directly from the province to Orlando, Florida.
WestJet’s new once-weekly flight launched at the Regina international Airport Thursday.
“Orlando is one of our top transborder destinations, so it is not surprising that we are seeing Saskatchewan travellers already booking and taking advantage of this new direct non-stop service from YQR,” said Richmond Graham, CEO of the Regina Airport Authority, in a news release.
In that same release, Robert Palmer, WestJet’s Manager, Public Relations, stated “this new non-stop service to Orlando, Florida is the province’s first and only non-stop route to the sunshine state and an outstanding opportunity for our guests to enjoy the many theme parks and attractions this amazing area has to offer.”
The new service runs every Thursday from Oct. 27, 2016 to April 27, 2017.
