Today’s the day to make your mark in Regina.
The polls open at 9 a.m. closing at 8 p.m. tonight. After you’ve voted, the ballot will be fed into a computer, which will automatically count the votes and issue the results after the polls have closed.
We’ve created an election hub where you can get to know your candidates.
What to bring
Make sure you bring your ID reminds chief returning officer Jim Nicol.
“If they have their driver’s license they’re off to the races because it has both their picture and address on it,” said Nicol.
If you don’t have a drivers license there are other options.
“We require two pieces of ID. One with your picture and one with your name and address,” said Nicol.
You will also need to fill out a voter registration at the polling station or print it off at home to fill in in advance.
Advance polls numbers were up a couple of thousand people and the city hopes to improve on the 33 per cent voter turnout last election.
980 CJME is live at city hall tonight and will start broadcasting the results as they come in. Our election show goes live at 8 p.m. but you can also follow the results on our website, Facebook and Twitter pages.
