Bruno, the chocolate Labrador that was trapped in a well near Estevan for nearly a month, is recovering at a clinic in Saskatoon.
The seven-year-old dog spent 27 days at the bottom of a well near his family’s home. His owners found him after one of their other dogs wouldn’t move from a spot in tall grass near a farm field while on a walk.
Bruno is now recovering at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine’s intensive care unit where he is in stable condition.
“I’m very confident that our team can provide the best, specialized care possible for this unique case,” said Dr. Duncan Hockley in a press release.
Even though Bruno’s recovery will not be quick, the clinic said he is displaying a strong will to live and is responding well to initial therapy.
